Remove swipe indicator on iPad

On the Apple iPad Webtoons app, can you remove the swipe indicator (skinny line at the bottom of the screen)? I realize it's a part of iOS, but apps are able to disable it. For instance, the app for Shonen Jump Manga hides it so it doesn't sit on top of the drawings. It's really annoying and distracting seeing a line when reading Webtoons and I'd appreciate it if you could consider this on a future release.
